Ik zie de meest uiteenlopende afwijkingen van het bewegingsapparaat, en wat belangrijker is: ik kan ze behandelen. Mijn patiënten zijn van alle leeftijden, van zeer jong tot heel oud. Ik zie zowel zuigelingen als hoogbejaarden, jonge sporters als actieve senioren.

Gewrichtsvervangende operaties hebben hierbij mijn speciale aandacht, met name die van heup en knie, want pijnloos kunnen bewegen is leven!

• 1982-1986 Vooropleiding chirurgie/thoraxchirurgie in het Streekziekenhuis Rivierenland te Tiel en het Reinier de Graaf Gasthuis te Delft.
• 1986-1990 Opleiding tot orthopedisch chirurg aan de Universiteit van Birmingham in het Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopedic Hospital te Oswestry, Engeland.
• 1989-1990 Senior Orthopaedic Registrar en Resident Surgical Officer.
• 1990-1992 Vervolgopleiding orthopedie in het universiteits ziekenhuis St. Radboud te Nijmegen. Waarnemend orthopedisch chirurg in het Spittaal te Zutphen.
